Crime and insecurity
Fortunately, the crime rates of Taiwan are among the lowest in the world. Graffiti is almost absent in Chinese society and vandalism is very low. Furthermore, accomplishments such as the acknowledgement of construction deficiencies and appointment of an advisory commission on new guidelines for the planning and design of the metro system are noteworthy. Hopefully, this initiative will bring on the long-awaited turning point and lead to higher construction quality and improved public safety situation within the MRTS.
